RATIBIDA(PRAIRIE CONEFLOWER)Family: ASTERACEAE
Formerly included in the genus Rudbeckia. These underutilized natives of the North American prairie have striking flowers, most suited for the border. Drooping ray flowers around an elongated, erect, grayish disk, a bit like the crown of a hat. Moist or dry soils in full sun.

A drought tolerant species native to the American mid-west and naturalized throughout North America. Elongated cones are surrounded by yellow dropping ray flowers. For a sunny spot in ordinary to dry soil.
