Searching Genus for JOVIBARBA

5 species of Sempervivum-like, succulent, fleshy-leaved and rosette forming species. Distinguished from Sempervivum by having campanulate flowers. The development of secondary or twin rosettes is also unique to the genus, either on short, wiry stolons, or from buds at the base of the primary rosette. Native to the mountains of Europe. For sun and a well-drained site.

Closely related to Sempervivum, these are terrifically fun small succulents to grow from seed and wonderful additions to the garden, thriving in sun and well-drained soil. This is a mix of all the species that form small sempervivum-like rosettes. Included are Jovibarba allionii, arenaria, hirta, sobolifera and their various forms and cultivars. Limited this year.
Germination Instructions: Easy, warm germinators.
