JASIONE(SHEEP'S BIT)Family: CAMPANULACEAE
About a dozen perennial species from the Mediterranean, only one of which is generally grown. Lovely in a rockery or front of the border, it forms a tufted clump of narrow, greyish-green leaves and is topped with circular heads of flowers, somewhat resembling a scabiosa. Attractive and easily grown in full sun and soil that does not become too dry. Will tolerate less than ideal conditions.

Native to eastern North America. An elegant and uncommon spring ephemeral usually found in rich, moist woods. The long-stemmed, lobed foliage is topped by pure white flowers, resembling those of Sanguinaria canadensis. Only a few packs this year. Order early.
Germination Instructions: Seed is moist packed to preserve viability. Cold treatment required.

JOVIBARBAFamily: CRASSULACEAE
5 species of Sempervivum-like, succulent, fleshy-leaved and rosette forming species. Distinguished from Sempervivum by having campanulate flowers. The development of secondary or twin rosettes is also unique to the genus, either on short, wiry stolons, or from buds at the base of the primary rosette. Native to the mountains of Europe. For sun and a well-drained site.

This is a mix of all the species that form small sempervivum-like rosettes. Included are Jovibarba allionii, arenaria, hirta, sobolifera and their various forms and cultivars. Limited this year.
