IPOMOPSISFamily: POLEMONIACEAE
24 species of perennials and biennials mostly native to North America.

IPOMOPSIS rubraSummer to Late Summer1932
Standing Cypress90-180cm  Zone: 4
Normally grown as a biennial, which perpetuates through self-sowing. Coral-red to salmon trumpets are spotted red and yellow inside, in a long, dense spike, a serious hummingbird attractor. Foliage is wonderful; soft, feathery and twirled. It is impossible to pass the plant without touching. We like to grow this tallish plant at the front of the border for its vertical affect, and also because it is light, airy, and skinny. One should plant a half dozen closely for an incredible show!
Germination Instructions: Easy, warm germinator.
