Searching Genus for GAILLARDIA

GAILLARDIA(BLANKET FLOWER)Family: COMPOSITAE
Easy to grow North American natives that brighten the late summer and fall garden over a long bloom period. Drought tolerant, preferring lean soil and full sun.

GAILLARDIA aristataSummer-Fall1640
60-90cm  Zone: 2
This is a very hardy prairie native with showy brilliant red daisy flowers with yellow rims, much superior to most of the hybrids in the marketplace. Long blooming and excellent cut flower; this in fact promotes more bloom. For full sun in well-drained, preferably poor soil. Wonderful if allowed to form a dense colony.
