Yellow Bleeding Heart2-8m  Zone: 6
Native from northwestern India to Nepal, a tuberous rooted perennial climber growing on moist forest margins, shrubby, rocky slopes and open hillsides. From midsummer through frost it produces a succession of hanging clusters of golden-yellow "bleeding hearts" that develop brownish-violet tips as they age. The blue-green leaflets of the pinnate leaves are brushed with silver at the base. Very similar to D. scandens, but this species climbs much higher, and has different seed pods.
Germination Instructions: Seed has been frozen to preserve viability.
