ASTRANTIA(MASTERWORT)Family: UMBELLIFERAE
A genus of nine species of hardy perennials with flowers of subtle beauty. They are charming cottage garden plants grown for their bold foliage and cushions of long-lasting lacy flowers encircled by a collar of bracts. Excels as a cut flower. Moist, rich soil in sun to part shade but will tolerate less than ideal conditions.

Native to rocky, partly shaded areas of the Pyrenees and the central Alps. A small species with palmate foliage producing small greenish-white flower heads in late summer. Can be challenging in cultivation. Rarely offered.
Germination Instructions: Seeds have been moist-packed to preserve viability. Cold treatment required.
